The End Times—A Timetable 151
shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years
shall have no end (Ps 102:25-27).
Those will be the days!
God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and
there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain: for the former
things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne
said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me,
Write: for these words are true and faithful (Rev 21:4-5).
And what about the Temple site? Is there a new Temple?
Is the concept of a special site and a special Temple to be
forgotten now, after all of earth's history since Abraham,
plus the millennial kingdom?
Not at all. The apostle John purposely considers it when
he is shown the New Jerusalem, and he gives the final
statement on this great theme of God's plan: "I saw no
Temple therein [in Jerusalem]: for the Lord God Almighty
and the Lamb are the temple of it" (Rev 21:22).
We might say that all along the Temples were symbolic
of God and His Son, for they now personally replace them.
How TO USE THIS TIMETABLE
Your use of the timetable depends on your position with
God. If you have received Christ, simply await the rapture
and go to be with God. Pray with John, "Amen. Come
Lord Jesus." (Bible: last page)
If you are not a believer, things are a bit more compli-
cated. Step one is to watch for the construction of the
Tribulation Temple. When that happens, the stage is set for
earth's final act. The rapture may come before or after it.
In any case, look for a mysterious disappearance of the
Christians. They'll be here today and gone tomorrow.
