souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus
[executed for their belief in Jesus], and for the word of
God, and which had not worshipped the beast . . . and they
lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years" (Rev
20:4). Those who died in unbelief miss out on that splendid
millennium: "But the rest of the dead lived not again un-
til the thousand years were finished" (20:5).
Satan will be bound inactive during that thousand-year
period, according to Scripture, but he will rise up again at
the end of the millennium for one last try at spoiling the
peace of the earth. But he, too, ends up in the lake of fire.
Then comes the famed judgment day (Rev 20:11-15)
where all unbelievers will get their rewards according to
their deeds. The book of life will be opened and everyone
will be judged. Those not appearing in this Who's Who of
Salvation will do no better than the devil and his handy-
men: "And whosoever was not found written in the book
of life was cast into the lake of fire (20:15).

                            ETERNITY
And here is the last chapter in creation. Eternity will in-
volve the metamorphosis of earth, heaven, and Jerusalem.
For one thing there will be no more oceans:

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first
heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there
was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, [the] new
Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, pre-
pared as a bride adorned for her husband (Rev 21:1-2).
Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and
the heavens are the work of thy hands. They shall perish,
but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like
a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they
