building of the Temple, the study of scholars toward this
difficult goal, and a renewed interest, throughout the Jewish
and Christian world, in the Tribulation Temple. We have
seen a great deal of new preaching in the churches about the
Temple and renewed efforts toward the evangelization of
Israel. We have seen a war, the Yom Kippur War, in which
there was a momentary threat of intervention by the super-
powers and a global-level contest over Israel's very right to
exist. We have seen shifting power struggles in the Middle
East, an oil embargo, and an infinite number of suggestive
movements of men toward the end times. *
Considering all that we have seen in the past four years,
our position as expressed in the preface to the original edition
of Satan in the Sanctuary remains the same: it is the hope
of the authors to reach all readers—believers in Christ and
unbelievers alike—with the message that God's Word goes
on, oblivious to doubt, and that we today are in a position
to see it fulfilled.

Moody, 1974] for an understanding of how these events of the seventies lead
toward the Tribulation period and its Temple.
