               Professional Learning Community Meetings (PLC)


               Professional Learning Community (PLC) Meetings are scheduled and directed. All teachers should
               review the PLC calendar for dates and activities.  PLC meetings are an important content-area
               resource.  Please refrain from scheduling outside appointments or obligations during this time.
               Attendance is required at all PLC meetings however, if for any reason you cannot attend, please
               notify the administration prior to your absence.   The PLC Meetings Calendar is located in
               Exhibit Q.


               School-Wide Online White Board Policy


               The Lawson Academy School-Wide Online Whiteboard Policy – coincides with the Lesson Cycle.

               Purpose:    The  White  Board  Plan  is  a  visual  representation  of  the  teacher’s  commitment  to
               instruction.  It reflects the teacher’s plan for a lesson with a coherent beginning, middle and end.
               The plan allows students to know what they will learn in each class, in addition to helping both
               teacher and students to organize and remain focused.

               Process:  The Plan should be used daily by every classroom and fine arts teacher thereby providing
               a school-wide organizational tool that students expect.  The contents of the plan should be written
               in student friendly terms, easy for students to understand.

               Overall Benefits:
                   •  Improves school climate
                   •  Strengthens teacher’s skill in planning and pacing
                   •  Standardizes student expectations school-wide
                   •  Provides observers with a guide tool that makes daily observations meaningful
