Loockerman Anchors the Community's
Reimagination

ACTIVE RETAIL Street trees play a key role in the pedestrian experience within a

downtown setting. The majority of the existing street trees planted on

creating a noteworthy tree canopy. This impressive canopy cover
provides pedestrians a cool, shady walking environment and a sense

them, preserving them and/or removing them, is critical to creating

OPEN RETAIL Managing and Preserving Trees - Street trees on Loockerman Street

long as possible. Trees in good health should remain, and be pruned when
necessary, if and when they present visual and/or physical disruption to
the buildings on Loockerman Street.

Removing Trees - Trees that present tripping hazards from uprooted
sidewalks and pavers should be removed and replaced with new, young
trees. Any trees suffering from disease or poor health should also be

removed to establish a new and healthy streetscape.
