level of the teaching practices and styles of the teacher’s respondents and their profile variables.
The following findings were yielded, 1) majority of the private school teachers in
Manaoag belong to age bracket 20-25 years old which is considered young, female, single,
graduates of baccalaureate degree, young in the service and attended division trainings; 2) the
level of teaching practices of the private school teachers in Manaoag is described as “Extensively
Used” having a grand overall weighted mean of 4.09; 3) the level of teaching styles of the private
school teachers in Manaoag denotes a transmuted rating equivalent of “Extensively used” with a
grand overall weighted mean of 3.80; 4) significant difference between the level of the teaching
practices and styles of the teacher respondents does not exist across profile variables age, sex,
highest educational attainment, number of years in service, and relevant trainings attended but
exists in profile variable civil status.
The following are the conclusions drawn 1) the private school teachers in Manaoag
vary in their profile variables; 2) the level of teaching practices and styles of the private school
teachers in Manaoag is described as “Extensively used” ;3) the level of teaching practices and
styles is not associated with the profile age, sex, highest educational attainment, number of
years in service, and relevant trainings attended; 4) the teacher respondents’ level of teaching
practices and styles is comparable across civil status.
The following are the recommendations: 1) all concerned teachers should be motivated
to enhance their professional growth by pursuing their graduate and post graduate studies to
further equipped themselves in application of the different teaching practices and styles for
the improvement of instruction;2) private school teachers should sustain if not level up in the
application of their teaching practices and styles to make teaching and learning more meaningful
and interesting and to further enhance pupils performance 3) the school administration in
the private schools should adapt sustainable programs by extending financial assistance to
teachers for the provision of educational technological devices to improve their craft in teaching
p[particularly in the use of the innovative teaching style; 4) the teachers development activities
should include enhancement training in the application of the teaching practices and styles to
provide them better perspective of what teaching is all about that could imbibe more acceptable
towards teaching; 5) the proposed program should be implemented to improve the delivery of
instruction of the private school teachers in Manaoag, Pangasinan and 6) other studies should
be conducted to look into other aspects of teaching practices and styles of the private school
teachers.
