along: Psychological, Intellectual, Moral, Social and Physical aspects. Problem No. 3 deals on
the significant differences in the involvement of parents and the profile variables. Problem No.

occupation, highest educational attainment and religious affiliation. Problem No. 5 focus on
problems encountered by the parents in their involvement in their children’s education.
                   The parents are within the age bracket of 34 and below to 50 years old and above;
dominantly females, dominantly married, almost are secondary school graduate. Majority are
non-professional, with Catholic affiliation and receiving family monthly income of 15,000 pesos
below the poverty level. The respondents’ extent of involvement of parents in their children is
generally “involved” as indicated by a grand overall weighted mean of 3.86, with psychological
aspects having the highest average weighted mean of 4.36 and physical aspect having the
lowest average weighted mean of 3.56. The parents respondents encountered moderately
serious problems as indicated by the overall average weighted mean of 3.03. The null hypothesis
of no significant differences in the parents’ extent of involvement of parents their children’s
education and the profile variables are accepted at .05 level of significance. The null hypothesis
of no significant relationship between the involvement of parents in their children’s education
and selected variables mentioned earlier is accepted.
The parents are comparable in their extent of involvement of parents in their children’s
schooling when compared across their profile variables. Finally, the results of the involvement
of parents in their children’s education is not very much commendable for better school
            development.
On the basis of the findings and conclusions yielded in this study, the following
recommendations are hereby presented. All concerned parents must be encouraged to look for a
better job to enhance their family monthly income. A more highly involved involvement of parents
in their children’s education with much higher impact should be encouraged by challenging every
parents, and recognizing their contributions. A more carefully selected variables should further
be identified, specifically those strong indicators for highly involved in the involvement of parents.
