Based on the aforecited findings of this study, the following conclusions were formulated
1) The teachers are qualified and adequately experienced in their own right to be in the
profession 2 ) The respondents-teachers are moderately competent in using CAI in HOTS, but
need upgrading and enhancement of their competence along the different areas 3) The teachers
are comparable in their level of competence in using CAI in HOTS 4) The proposed program need
to be developed for enhancement of teachers’ competence using CAI in HOTS.
The following recommendations are forwarded based on the salient findings and
conclusions: 1) All concerned teachers must be encouraged to finish their graduate degrees in
masteral and doctoral levels to enhance their professional growth 2) Since the competence of
the respondents in using CAI in HOTS was found to be “slightly competent ” level and needs
upgrading and enhancement, in-service trainings should be formulated and implemented in
the school, division and even regional level for such, a proposed enhancement program was
recommended 3) Carefully selected variables should further be identified, specifically those that
would determine more effective in science teaching 4) Further, research should be considered
to look into others concern of Science teaching not covered by the study.
TEACHERS’ COMPUTER COMPETENCE IN INSTRUCTION

The study determined the computery competency of high school teachers in the public
secondary schools of Umingan, Pangasinan II Division during the school year 2014 – 2015.
Specifically, it looked into the profile of the high school teachers in terms of their sex, age, civil
status, highest educational attainment, length of teaching experiences, number of attended in–
service trainings in computer literacy, and highest level of attended in–service training in computer
literacy capability. Likewise, the researcher looked into the level of computer competency of the
high school teachers in terms of their competency in microsoft word, microsoft excel, microsoft
powerpoint, and internet. Problems that have been met by the respondent teachers were also.A
proposed program development was formulated to enhance further the level of computer
competency of the high school teachers.
The descriptive research method of conducting the study was used. Specifically, it
sought to answer the following; Problem No. 1 dealt on the profile of the respondents in terms
of sex, age, civil status, highest educational attainment, length of teaching experience, and
number and highest level of in-service trainings attended relevant to computer. Problem No. 2
focused on the level of computer competencies of the respondent teachers along; Microsoft Word,
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Internet. Problem No. 4 identified the problems met by
the secondary teachers relative to computer competency? Finally, Problem No. 4 determined the
program development that can be formulated to enhance the teachers’ computer competence.
Further, the following are the salient findings of the study: 1) Majority of the respondent
