             the need to supplement the existing materials used in teaching Reading Readiness and 4) the
             proposed instructional materials was found to be highly acceptable in terms of its adequacy,
             suitability and relevance with overall average weighted means of 4.90, 4.86 and 4.92 respectively.
                    In  the  light  of  the  findings  the  following  conclusions  were  drawn  1)  the  existing
             instructional materials in Reading Readiness for children with autism is adequate 2) instructional
             materials  in  Reading  Readiness  for  children  with  autism  was  proposed  3)  inadequacy  of
             instructional materials in Reading Readiness for children with autism is the greatest concern of
             SPED teachers that need to be addressed and 4) the proposal instructional materials in Reading
             Readiness for children with autism meets the standard criteria in terms of its acceptability based
             on adequacy, suitability and relevance.
                    Based on the findings and conclusions, the following recommendations were formulated:
             1. the proposed instructional materials in Reading Readiness for children with autism is highly
             acceptable and recommended for use in SPED centers with program in autism 2) SPED teachers
             handling  autism  are encouraged  to develop  instructional  materials in  other learning  area
             to further hone the capabilities of special children in the teaching learning process 3) more
             development type research should be made to augment the existing  instructional materials in
             SPED centers to cater to the needs of special children.


             RACKET SPORTS DISCIPLINE BASIS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF RECRUITMENT
                     PROGRAM IN PANGASINAN STATE UNIVERSITY-ASINGAN

                    This  study  determined  the  contributing  factors  that  led  to  increasing  racket  sports
             players at Pangasinan State University-Asingan . Results of the study were used as basis to
             develop a recruitment program to increase the number of racket sports athletes in the said
             institution.  Specifically,  the  study  answered  the  problems  on  the  socio-demographic  profile
             of the racket sports players, the factors that contribute to increasing racket sports players in
             terms of cognitive, behavior, social  and physical factors that Contribute to  Increasing Racket
             Sports Players, the  degree of seriousness of the problems encountered by racket sport players
             and the recruitment program that can be developed to increase racket sports players in PSU-
             Asingan.
                    In this study, the descriptive-quantitative method of research was used. The reason
             behind the choice of the method is because it tries to describe the conditions existing, possesses
             that are existing, effects that are being felt or trends that are developing regarding the increasing
             engagement  in  racket  sports  in  Pangasinan  State  University  –  Asingan  Campus,  which  was
             selected as the  study site.  This method was specifically adapted because the study intended to
             describe and interpret “what is” about the factors that contribute to the increasing racket sports
             in the institution as well as the problems encountered by the varsity players in their engagement
             in racket sports. The quantitative research design was used in this study to quantify data and
