                 UTILIZATION OF TEACHING STYLES AND APPROACHES
                              BY KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS

               This study focused on the extent of utilization of the teaching styles and approaches by
       the Kindergarten teachers of Villasis Districts, Pangasinan Division II, SY 2014-2015.
               Specifically,  it  sought  to  determine  the  profile  of  the  respondents  in  terms  of  age,
       sex,  civil  status,  length  of  service,  highest  educational  attainment,  and  relevant  trainings
       attended. Likewise, it looked into the extent of utilization of the teaching styles and approaches
       by  the  Kindergarten  teachers,  the  significant  difference  between  the  extent  of  utilization  of
       teaching styles and approaches by the Kindergarten teachers across profile variables and the
       significant relationship between the extent of utilization of teaching styles and approaches by
       the Kindergarten teachers and their profile variables.
               The descriptive - correlational method of research was employed and the questionnaire
       checklist was used in gathering the data. To address the problems of this study, the statistical
       measures were used for data analysis and interpretations. These are the frequency counts (f)
       and percentage (%) the average weighted means, the analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the
       Pearson product moment of coefficient correlation (r) were used.
               The  findings  are  summarized  in  order  of  which  the  problems  are  raised  and  the
       hypothesis posed in this study, 1) Majority of the respondents belong to age bracket 21 – 30,
       that is 17 or 47.2 percent, female dominated that is 32 or 88.9 percent, married, 25 or 69.4
       percent, have been in the service for 6 – 10 years that is 23 or 63.9 percent of them, had
       masteral units that is 20 or 56.5 percent of them and attended relevant trainings in the division
       level that is 15 or 41.7 percent 2) the extent of utilization of the teaching styles and approaches
       an overall weighted means of 4.27 and 4.39 respectively denoting a descriptive equivalent rating
       of “Very Effective” 3) There’s no significant difference between the extent of utilization of the
       teaching styles and approaches by the Kindergarten teachers across the profile variables and 4)
       There’s no significant relationship between the extent of utilization of the teaching styles and
       approaches by the Kindergarten teachers and their profile variables.
               Based on the aforecited findings in this study, the following conclusions were formulated.
       1)  The  kindergarten  teachers  of  Villasis  Districts  are  in  their  early  adulthood  equipped  with
       relevant educational qualifications and trainings and practically young in the service. 2) The
       kindergarten teachers of Villasis Districts are very good in the delivery of instruction when it
       comes to the utilization of the teaching styles and approaches kindergarten classes. 3) The
       profile variables of the respondents are comparable in the extent of utilization of the teaching
       styles and approaches. 4) The extent of utilization of the teaching styles and approaches is not
       associated with the profile variables of the respondents.
               Based  on  the  findings  and  conclusions  of  this  study,  the  researches  arrived  at  the
       following recommendations: 1) Since majority of the Kindergarten teachers have just earned
       their masteral units, all concerned teachers should be encouraged to hone their professional
       growth  by  pursuing  their  graduate  and  post  graduate  studies  2)  concerned  teachers  must
       upgrade their teaching performance by attending relevant trainings in the regional, national
       and international levels to further enhance their knowledge, skills and competencies which will
       improve their craft in delivering instruction in the class 3) Kindergarten teachers should level up
