in early childhood education. This study also sought to compare the respondent’s level of
involvement in early childhood education across their profile variables and also the correlate
such involvement with the profile variables. .
Based on the analysis and interpretation of data, the following findings were yielded: 1)
majority of the respondent parents belong to age bracket 31-40 that is 33 or 58.9 percent, have
two children in the family that is 23 or 41.1 percent, both father and mother are high school;
graduate that is 42 or 75 percent and 40 or 71.4 percent respectively, female dominated 46 or
82.1 percent and non-professional workers that is 43 or 76.8 percent 2) the levels of parental
involvement in early childhood education by the respondent parents are financial support 4.83,
emotional support 4.89, intellectual support 4.95, social support 4.94 and moral support 4.91
having an overall weighted mean of 4.91 indicating a “Highly Involved” descriptive equivalent
rating 3) there are no significant difference between the level of involvement in early childhood
education by the respondent parents across their profile variables except monthly family income
and there are no significant relationships between the level of parental involvement in early
education by the respondent parents and their profile variables.
In the light of the findings, the following conclusions were drawn: 1) the respondent
parents are young, female dominated, have a small family, high school graduate and tending
nonprofessional job thereby making them active and aggressive in their involvement in early
childhood education is very remarkable and should be sustained 3) the respondent parents
are comparable in their level of parental involvement in early childhood education across their
profile variables but not comparable when compared across monthly family income, this variable
is a significant indicator of variability among respondent parents in their involvement in early
childhood education and the profile variables of the respondent parents do not affect their
involvement in early childhood education.
On the basis of salient findings in this study and the conclusions drawn, the following
are hereby recommended 1) the respondent parents should sustain their remarkable involvement
in early childhood education for better academic performance of their children 2) the respondent
parents who are considered young should sustain their momentum inn their active involvement
in early childhood education in order to attain the ultimate aim of education which is quality
education 3) concerned parents who are inactive in their involvement in early childhood education
should be motivated to participate actively to better achieve the goals and objectives of the early
childhood education program 4) other selected variables should further be identified.
