The findings indicate that majority of the respondents belong to age bracket 31-40
years old, female, married, have earned their masteral units and have been in the service for 5
years and below. The extent of application of the technological strategies in Science obtained
an overall average weighted mean of 2.24 denoting a descriptive equivalent rating of “fairly
utilized; There is no significant difference between the level of application of the technological
instructional strategies in Science across the profile variables except civil status; there is no
significant relationship between the extent of application of the technological instructional
strategies in Science and the profile variable on highest educational attainment, however it is
significantly related to the length of service.
Based on the aforecited findings in this study, the following conclusions were formulated:
the Science teachers of San Manuel District are on their early adult, equipped with the relevant
educational qualifications and trainings and practically young in the service, the respondent
teachers of San Manuel District seldom use the technological instructional strategies in teaching
Science; the extent of application of technological instructional strategies in Science is not
associated with the profile variables of the respondents except in civil status and the highest
educational attainment of the respondent teachers has nothing to do with their application of
the technological instructional devices in teaching Science e. However their number of years in
teaching can affect their application of the technological strategies in Science.
In the light of the findings, the researcher arrived at the following recommendations:
Majority of the respondents have just earned their masteral units, all concerned teachers should
be encouraged to enhance their professional growth by pursuing their graduate studies in a
reputable institution; Science teachers must level up their craft in teaching Science by utilizing the
technological instructional strategies in teaching like digital multi-media, power point , internet,
K-channel and on-line teaching; more intensified training programs on the use of technological,
instructional strategies should be designed, formulated, and implemented to upgrade teachers’
competence in teaching and other studies should be conducted to look into other aspects of the
extent of application of the technological instructional strategies in teaching Science in wider
perspective.

This study determined the extent of the level of professional competence of technical-
vocational teachers of Luciano Millan National High School inAsinganand Eastern Pangasinan
Agricultural College in Sta. Maria.
Specifically, this study sought to find the answers in the following: (1) profile of the
respondents in terms of age; gender civil status; position/ designation; tech – Voc program
handled; net take – home pay; certificates earned/ acquired; highest educational attainment;
skills, trainings/ seminars attended; and length of service, (2) level of professional competence
