              General Questions

              1. Why are you interested in the DOA opportunity with Vallejo Flood & Wastewater?  Why are you
                actively or passively looking for a new position?

                I'm interested because it is a step up from my current position. There's not much more room for
                growth available. I think this would be a good step for me career wise. I am from Vallejo, born and
                raised. I think my experience would be beneficial. I think that my skills, my history, and my
                background would make me a good fit.
               Position Specific Questions

              2. Please describe your highest level administrative support role to an Executive, Director, General
                Manager and/or Board.


                Report to Public Works Director. Provide research, background information, pretty much whatever is
                needed to help the Director make decisions for whatever is needed.
              3. Please describe your supervisory experience and the most challenging human resources issue you
                have addressed.


                Two account clerks that handle all AP for the division. I work at the corporation yard. I work with the
                division of the water department, and the maintenance division. My staff provides support for all of
                the employees. We handle all of the administrative functions, AR, payroll, front desk, they are the first
                face when people come in. I also oversee the division secretary.


              4. Please describe your experience in coordinating, tracking and reporting out on the implementation
                of organizational goals, objectives, policies and procedures.


                I have done quite a bit of that in my work here with the City. When I was first hired on I was tasked
                with creating a policy and procedures manual that spelled out the most common policies and
                procuedures it included items like apperance codes, safety codes.


              5. Please describe your experience with electronic filing systems as it pertains to this position.


                The City went through a records retention update. One of the duties that I was tasked with was
                determining all of the different types of records that we kept. I inventoried everything - met with
                managers and supervisors, met with consultant.
