legislative bodies need to have a one click access to the upcoming agenda from the home page. WE
had to figrue out what that means and how to implement it in a way that makes it easier to use for
our citizens and figuring out which bodies this applies to.
Communication, Collaboration, and Personnel Management
8. This position will interact with managers throughout the organization as well as partner
organizations and individuals in the community. How do you evaluate whether your department is
providing a good level of customer service? What do you feel are some of the challenges to
achieving a high level of customer service?
I think establishing a high level of customer service, you want to have really good response times. You
want to make sure that emails are responded to in as limited amount of time as possible, but not to
exceed one day. You want to make sure the phone is answered within two rings. You want people to
have out of office messages, direct contact for someone to reach out to. If one of my employees are
out I would be that contact. I like to get hold of them right away. I think that's a good baseline
threshold, always being professional and courteous, and keeping a listening ear so that the person
feels heard, and we are correctly understanding what they are looking for and responding
appropriately.
