NURSES WEEK 2024 - RISING TOGETHER 41
NURSES WEEK
During Nurses Week 2025,
the NRR team at UM Health
offered a dynamic program
that reached over 1,500
nurses. The goal was twofold:
to provide educational
offerings critical to nursing
practice and to add an
element of fun for staff.
These offerings created a
welcoming environment
where nurses gained new
knowledge and networked
with colleagues across
specialties.
Program Highlights:
Six certification review
courses
Four lectures with
continuing education
credits (CE)
CE gift cards for staff
Three bus trips featuring
CE lectures
Sessions on pain
management,
generational diversity,
leadership development,
and legal updates
An ECG interpretation
online learning module,
accessible to all nurses
Nurses Week programming is
designed using annual needs
assessments, nurse surveys,
and institutional initiatives.
This ensures a broad range of
topics, making the events
relevant and beneficial to
nurses from every UMH
specialty.
Feedback from participating
nurses is central to ongoing
planning, ensuring that
education, professional
development, and a sense of
appreciation remain at the
heart of Nurses Week. These
annual programs are
essential not only for staff
retention, but also for
fostering continuous learning
and development across the
nursing community.
