HONORING OUR EXTRAORDINARY NURSES WITH THE DAISY AWARD
Since January 2007, University of Michigan Health has proudly participated in the DAISY Award program—a
national initiative honoring nurses who exemplify extraordinary kindness, patient- and family-centered care,
and clinical excellence.
At the close of FY25, 204 UMH RNs have received this distinguished honor, symbolizing the highest form of
recognition a nurse can achieve from our patients and their families.
Each DAISY nomination is a testament to the lasting impressions our nurses make. For FY25, we saw a
record-breaking 2,303 nominations—reflecting the exceptional impact our nurses have on the lives of
patients and their loved ones. Thousands of heartfelt nominations year after year highlight the consistent
dedication, compassion, and exemplary service shown by our nurses across all care settings.
