Like everyone else who works in different industries, cabin crew also need
to conquer a lot of stress from work and their private lives such as negative
comments from passengers and colleagues, career path development,
retirement plans, finance issues, relationship issues, etc. Unlike others who can
easily reach supports from friends and families or show their emotions, most
of the time they have to present happiest and brightest attitudes in front of
passengers no matter how they feel and take the facts that their families and
friends are usually far away.
空服員跟其他各行各業的從業人員一樣必須克服工作和私人生活中的種種壓力源,包含來自顧客和
同事的負面情緒、工作的升遷、退休計畫、經濟壓力、情感關係……等等。和其他產業工作者不同
的是,空服員的工作往往被要求要雖時隨地笑臉迎人,大部分的時間必須遠離親友,相對能取得的
情緒支持和抒發管道也較少。
For those who work for the airlines far away from their hometowns, handling
loneliness and figuring out their own ways to release stress becomes one
of the important tasks. Some high-standard international airlines usually
have welfare system to assist their employees in overcoming stress issues,
especially after crew members experience the unexpected tragedy mentioned
above. Stress relief should be a part of any crew’s daily life.
而對長期派駐在國外的外商航空組員來說,「面對寂寞」的調節能力就更顯得重要。部分較重視員
工心理健康的航空公司會提供包括心理諮商、匿名申訴等周邊輔助資源,協助員工緩解壓力。特別
是碰到機組人員遇到文章一開始提及的創傷事件後,更要在第一時間主動介入協助。減輕、移除壓
力源,是身為航空從業人員最重要的功課之一。
