● Thirdly, state the name of the person being introduced with the ‘lower-ranking’ person.

of information about a topic of common interest between the two parties without
elaborate. This will help them connect and pursue a conversation.
For examples, introducing a younger person to an older person. “Grandma, please meet Alicia
and Charles Simpson, my classmates.”
Introduce a relatively junior professional to a senior professional. “Ms. Director, I would like to
introduce Mr. Ram Prasad Rao, the Chief R&D for our pharmaceutical division.”
Introduce an employee to a customer. “Mr. Sung, I would like to introduce our marketing team.
This is John F Smith, Jessica Ramos and Liang Tan. All three participated in last week’s
teleconference regarding product definition.”
Gender Distinction Commonly, there is no gender distinction between man and woman in the
workplace. When introducing a man and a woman at the workplace, we will consider only their
positions and senioritis. Outside of work, it may be more appropriate to introduce a man to a
woman.
