Parkside Football Club 1897/2017

                                                   SECRETARY’S REPORT

Shortly, from the 1997 season left a lot of work to do over the summer. It is a credit to all those who
give up their time to fundraise that the club started off the season in neutral position

It was a season of new faces. The medical staff led by Brian Skinner assisted by Sharon, Mick and
Janelle professionally attended to the club needs in this area. Our thanks to them. a good job well
               done.

I referred to the attitude of some during my 1997 report. Sadly the arrival of the new coach has not
changed this and as I predicted we still have not won a flag this attitude I spoke about must change
               not the coaches.

My thanks to Tony Cooke, Tom Keogh and Rex Bennett for their support of Shane and Gary
               respectively.

The canteen with the benefit of a decent kitchen and a couple of ladies football finals, increased the
               profit by $1500.00.

A job well done to Judith, Pat, Gladys, Jacki and all who helped in the kitchen.

Also to Grant in the bar with the ongoing saga of the licence made it a very stressful and hard to
               change dates etc.

For the thousand jumpers washed and ironed my thanks to Judith Lee.

To conclude I would ask all to respect your club and its rooms as if they were your own

I would like to thank all those who have helped me over the past nine years as an officer of the club.

I have served as President, Bar Manager, Cleaner etc. so I feel a rest is needed and will not be
standing for any positions this year.

               Thank you to all,

               Jim Lee
