Closing the GriGri to   liberate the brake hand.  Constructing a materially   redundant master point.







                    One gesture of the   rope destabilizes   the knot, but it is   backing up a stable   GriGri.  Knot cannot be   destabilized when   in use.







                    Quick to tie, quick   to untie.  Quick to tie, quick   to untie









                    Defaults to   strength of the   GriGri.  Same as an   overhand or figure   8 but the BHK   is tied in two or   more strands of   material, increasing   the strength.




                    Familiar overhand with   a bight.  Creating a Master Point  Looks like a big   honking knot. Often   has signature loop to   manage.
