                        I created the animated videos concurrently while filming and editing the digital
                        videos. It was clear the animated videos would enhance my subject matter by

                        highlighting some of the key points and give context to my ideas. Prior to the filming

                        stages, I scripted and storyboarded my ideas for the filming. See (Appendix H) for
                        sample video storyboard. Each scene was rehearsed with the pupils and with Jane,

                        our school librarian. The pupils enjoyed the filming process and portrayed a sense of
                        pride at being select (Video 4.3). I wanted to make the videos as practical as possible

                        and endeavoured to use The Personalisation Principle that promotes an enthusiastic

                        and conversational style narrative over a more formal style (Mayer, 2008).
