Throughout this action research project, I relied on the support and collaboration of
my college supervisors, college peers and also from my work colleagues, pupils and
their parents. My value of excellence emerged from my efforts to improve our
school’s eLearning status and to produce a multimedia resource of a high quality. I
sought their honest and professional feedback as I progressed with my research
project. I was always mindful that their feedback would be constructive with the
intention of producing a resource of a high standard that would help improve
parental involvement and reading literacy (Figure 4.12), (Figure 4.13).

An example of peer feedback is evident in (Figure 4.13) and (Figure 4.14). I found
fixing the inconsistent audio levels especially challenging as there were many factors
to consider. Ideally, I would have recorded every scene in the same location where
room acoustics and background noise could be controlled. Also using different
microphones became problematic as the quality varied with each device.
Furthermore, I discovered my own voice varied depending on the time of day and
recording location. My supervisor Yvonne suggested I improve my narration by
speaking with more expression in my voice. This is something I had to practice over
and over and is a skill I will use in future work. Through trial and error, I learned
that in order to have a consistent high quality with the voice narration and audio, it
