4.5 Conclusion
In this chapter I discussed my educational values of creativity, excellence and
collaboration and the role they played in creating and implementing my multimedia
resource. I explained why I chose the Educational Entrepreneurial Approach to
action research (Crotty, 2014) as my research methodology and how it defined the
creation and development of my multimedia resource the ‘Parent Learning Zone’. I
described the comprehensive exploration of my workplace eLearning culture and
identified the areas in need of change to enhance parental involvement in their
child’s education. I documented the process involved in creating my resource, from
the design phase to implementation and the journey in-between under the heading of
Explore, Understand and Create.
In the following chapter, I will document the fourth and final stage of the EEA
approach, the Transformation stage. This will involve the changes that took place in
both my workplace and in myself as a result of this research. Finally, I will conclude
my research findings and discuss potential further areas of research.
