Clerkship Program dates back to 1999, when it LITIGATION TRANSACTIONAL ESTATE/PROBATE
was started under the leadership of Judge Ronald
Adrine. The program remains vibrant today, Thank you to the CMBA for your focus on
providing an opportunity for minority law Diversity & Inclusion
students to clerk during the summer between
their first and second years of law school. Last
year, we added the Akron Bar Association as a Reminger is proud to be an active supporter of the
partner in the program and we have welcomed CMBA Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
Akron area employers to participate. Program
applicants come from our local law schools —
Case Western Reserve, Cleveland-Marshall and
Akron, but we also promote the opportunity to
law schools throughout Ohio and the Midwest.
This year, we received 30 applications, Melvin Davis Julian Emerson Justin Harris Myra Barsoum Stockett
reflecting the huge interest that students have in
this program. The applicants were interviewed in
late February by panels of attorneys representing
the participating employers. Matches with
employers and offers will be made this month, Gregory Guice
with orientation taking place in mid-May after Attorney, Reminger Co., LPA
law school final exams. The clerkships begin Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion, CMBA
in May and end in August. Additionally, the
CMBA will host lunch-and-learn sessions for
the participating students during the summer.
