While all three pieces of
            this coffee set carry the
            same artisan marks, only
            the sugar basin carries
            the additional Mei Hwa
            mark.

            It is an unusual set
            simply because of the
            coffee pot with its side
            handle. While is might be
            debatable if all three
            items were originally
intended to be as one set,
            they are all related by
            having the same maker.
The style of the coffee pot
would date this to the Art
            Deco period; but on
            closer examination it is
            obvious the handle is
            wooden, itself unusual for
            its form.
