Yang Qing He was no stranger to large, theatrical
objects, especially when they had a connection to
traditional Chinese culture.
This parcel gilded pagoda stands 44cm high and is
intricately worked, the brickwork and the tiled pagoda
roofs being well defined.
Ceremonial objects seems to have been a speciality of
the workshop.
Yang Qing He was not exclusively concerned
with monumentalism. This circa 1920 small
saucer carries the silver mark and is
exquisitely made and engraved with the
same attention to detail as the larger, more
“important” pieces
