In a completely different style and technique, this box is
nevertheless just as unique. The spread-winged bat clasp to
the box, despite it being a traditional Chinese decorative
motif, is rarely used as a box catch. The combination of
engraved pine motifs around the box sides and a heavy
repoussé dragon in clouds stylised motif on the lid make this
box far from being ordinary.
Multiple inches silver marks are not rare in Chinese Export
