    A RARE AND UNUSUAL GREYISH-CELADON JADE CARVING OF A DUCK
    MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)

    明 青灰玉鴨

    The duck is carved in the round with the head turned to face the rear and the beak resting on its back. The
    feathers and webbed feet are fnely detailed. The stone is of an attractive pale tone with some brownish-
    grey areas.
