SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL ITEMS
Please do not bring any personal items to your assignments - this includes, but is not limited to,
personal electronics, framed pictures, plants, radios, books, etc. The client will provide you
with all supplies required for the job. We do not assume responsibility for the loss or theft of
personal property belonging to you. Therefore, you should leave all valuable and unnecessary
items at home. Handbags and all other personal property should be stored in a manner that
does not interfere with the productivity, cleanliness, or safety of the work area.
Other useful tips:
Lock your wallet or purse in a safe place at work.
Limit what you carry. When you go out, take only the identification, credit, and debit
cards you need. Leave your Social Security card at home.
Before you share any personal information at your workplace, ask why they need it,
how they will safeguard it, and the consequences of not sharing.
Don't share your user ids, passwords or other system access codes that protect your
security at work.
WORKPLACE SEARCHES
Both the client and we reserve the right to conduct workplace searches to safeguard our
employees and to ensure compliance with our policies, including those that cover employee
safety, workplace violence, harassment, theft, drug and alcohol use, and possession of
prohibited items.
Employees do not have a right to privacy in their workspaces or with respect to any personal
property they bring to the workplace.
In conducting a workplace search, we may question employees and/or inspect any personal
property or any area from which the company/client conducts business, including any work area,
facilities and/or vehicles. If you use a lock on any workplace property (a locker or file cabinet, for
example), you must also provide means of access (e.g. key or combination to the Human
Resource Team. The search includes vehicles, brief cases, suitcases, tool boxes, computer bags,
backpacks, lunch boxes, purses or any other container or object brought to and from the
company/client offices, property, worksites or company sponsored functions whenever there is
reasonable suspicion to believe that you have violated any of our policies or those of the client.
You are expected to cooperate during workplace searches. Violations of this policy are subject
to disciplinary action, up to and including immediate termination.
