measuring device by which our lives are judged.

Note this truism: If we live in any degree of law, we can’t be 100%

sure of our salvation! This is why Paul says the law is ‘the ministry of

condemnation.’ Guilt blocks revelation of salvation.

             (2) SPONTANEITY. We need to be free—at liberty to live and

express ourselves just as we are, without judgment or criticism from
others close to us. That is unless we truly need correcting sometimes,

which most of us do at times. We need variety in life even to
           needing risk and uncertainty.

GOD totally accepts us (#1. security in salvation), and gives us

freedom and liberty to live life confidently and in faith, if we live in

him, and in his gospel’s transforming power.

             (3) SIGNIFICANCE. We all need to have what psychology calls

self-worth, and respect and honor from others. If we feel put-down

by our personal approach to life (#2. spontaneity), then this need is

           not being met.

GOD meets this need for us by giving us his grace and mercy,

which is even more than giving us freedom and liberty in #2. Jesus

says to receive honor from God, not from man, because receiving

honor from man can hinder our ability to believe correctly. Jesus

also says God gives us the same love and GLORY he gives him.

             (4) LOVE. As I said earlier, this is really where our focus should be

           — totally accepting love from God, and then giving this same love

away to others. Human love is good, but it can’t compare with God’s
