IAGC Presents at

NCBIWA Conference

IAGC’s Dustin Van Liew, Vice-President of
Regulatory and Governmental Affairs, presented
at the North Carolina Beach, Inlet & Waterway
Association’s (NCBIWA) 2017 Annual Conference,
13 to 14 November in Wrightsville Beach, NC.

Van Liew participated as part of the Atlantic Outer Continental Shelf
Energy Exploration & Development Panel Discussion moderated
by former U.S. Senator from Louisiana Mary Landrieu. Van Liew
discussed G&G exploration and the importance of gaining updated
potential resource data for the Atlantic Outer Continental Shelf (OCS).
He provided comments and information dispelling environmental
activist misinformation about impacts of seismic data acquisition
on marine life and highlighted the long history of safe operations of
this technology around the world, including on the Atlantic OCS.
Other panelists included Dr. James Knapp, Professor,
School of Earth, Ocean and Environment, University of
South Carolina; Renee Orr, Chief of the Office of Strategic
Resources, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management; Peg Howell,
Stop Offshore Drilling in the Atlantic (SODA); and Doug
Wakeman, Professor of Economics, Meredith College.
