Perform 3-4 sets. Optimize your practice to make “one stroke per second”.


               The ideal frequency for the kapalbhati is once per second.





               Note that the abdominal area makes inward and outward movements


               simultaneously with the breath movement and considerable force is

               applied to the chakras - Manipura chakra, Swadhisthan chakra and


               Muladhara chakra, thus filling them with cosmic life force energy or the


               ‘prana’. If done sincerely, this process is also very helpful for awakening the


               consciousness.


               In the beginning, the practitioner may feel a little discomfort in the


               abdomen and at the back because of new stimulus to the body, but of


               course it won’t last beyond a couple of days provided you get good


               nutrition and adequate sleep.
