REVISED INTERNAL GUIDELINES ON PROGRAM ON AWARDS AND
INCENTIVES FOR SERVICE EXCELLENCE (PRAISE) FOR
EMPLOYEES OF THE IFUGAO STATE UNIVERSITY
L RATIONALE
Internal guidelines and criteria on awards and incentives in an institution are
deemed necessary These will serve as guide to account and grant appropriate
reward and incentive to employees who demonstrate excellent and quality
service in the university. These awards will not only serve as motivations but as
inspiration for others to do better while performing their duties and
responsibilities as public servants The revisions are aimed at addressing the
deficiencies in the old guidelines and integrate the Equal Opportunity Principle
(EOP).
It. OBJECTIVE
To establish and maintain standard internal guidelines in the implementation of
the Ifugao State University Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence
which shall adhere to the Equal Opportunity Principle.
Ill, EQUAL OPPORTUNITY PRINCIPLE (EOP) POLICY
The IFSU PRAISE shall adhere to the Equal Opportunity Principle (EOP)
in the giving of awards and incentives which shall be based on performance,
innovative ideas and exemplary behavior without discrimination on account of
age, sex, sex orientation, gender identity, civil status, disability, religion,
ethnicity and political affiliation. This can be done by specifically observing the
following:
1, Equal chance/opportunity shall be accorded to all employees and those
belonging to the specialized group. The latter shall not be left behind just
because of their limitations and restrictions and they shall be treated fairly
like those able-bodied employees
2 Creation of categories for the Best Employee Award makes Hpossible for
every employee in the different levels/ranks to be given chance to be
nominated and win. It eliminates the bias for those in the higher ievel/rank
to always be the ones nominated and awarded but gives chance even for
those in the lower or even lowest levei/rank employees to also be
recognized.
