LLM (Applied Law) in Malaysian Legal Practice       Meet our Malaysian LLM subject matter experts
            ix new subjects are being added to the LLM (Applied Law)   n  the  last  COL  Asia  Newsletter  we  profiled  ten  of  our
         S  in Malaysian Legal Practice to bring the total to 12.   I  ASEAN+6 LLM subject matter experts (SMEs) - for the first
                                                             six LLM subjects in Malaysian legal Practice. Chong Wei Lung
                                                             and Brendan Siva have since each added a further subject to

                                                             Wong Tat Chung
                                                             Tat Chung is a partner in Kuala Lumpur firm Wong Beh & Toh.
                                                             He  has  a  LLB  and  a  LLM  (Public  International  Law)  from
                                                             King’s  College,  University  of
                                                             London.  Tat  Chung  is  a
                                                             Barrister-at-law,  Lincoln’s  Inn,
                                                             and an Advocate and Solicitor
                                                             of  the  High  Court  of  Malaya.
                                                             He  has  practised  since  1989.
                                                             Tat Chung’s practice areas are
                                                             primarily  in  equity,  corporate
                                                             finance,   mergers    and           Wong Tat Chung
                                                             acquisitions,  competition  and
                                                             general  corporate  and  commercial  matters.  He  has  been
                                                             involved in both domestic and cross-border transactions.
                                                             Tat  Chung  is  the  SME  for  MLP7  -  Mergers  and  Acquisitions
                                                             Practice (Malaysia). He is also the SME for ILP7 - ASEAN+6
                                                             Capital Markets Practice.

                                                             Lee Chooi Peng
                                                             Lee Chooi Peng is a partner in Kuala Lumpur firm Justin Voon
                                                             Chooi  &  Wing  (JCW).  Chooi  Peng  graduated  LLB  from  the
                                                             University  of  Leicester  in  2000  and  she  was  admitted  to  the
                                                             Malaysian  Bar  in  2003.  Chooi  Peng  has  conducted  a  wide
                                                             variety  of  contested  litigation  cases  and  is  an  experienced
                                                             practitioner in banking and commercial litigation, probate and
                                                             administration  actions,  Wills,  estate  administration  and
                                                             management and estate disputes involving trusts law.
                                                             Chooi Peng is the College SME for MLP13 - Wills Estates and
         LLM  (Applied  Law)  in  Malaysian  Legal  Practice  2018  Trusts Practice (Malaysia).
