A very prominent pioneer within the EV market, Tesla, has probably entered offering EV
infrastructure solutions only because traditional mobile energy solution providers such as
petrol station operators have not been convinced about the market potential when the
demand actually started to arise - admittedly primarily as a niche market.
Deutsche Post DHL, very well known as a Logistics provider has also entered the EV
manufacturing ground by becoming the only owner of StreetScouter, a Start-Up who
focussed on developing electric mini trucks.
Both examples how different they are demonstrate that providing new technologies might
also require entering into market segments which are not being considered the CORE.
