             Conclusion










              The Umayyad rule came to an end (132A.H/749). It is

            now written lines on the pages of the historians’ books
            telling generations to come about the Umayyad unjust
            rule and what they have done to the Muslim community.
            Meanwhile Imam Hussein (as) wrote his own history
            through every drop of his blood which was the most
            powerful means of demolishing the Umayyad despotism,
            autocracy, and tyranny.



              His martyrdom in Karbala granted him an eternal life
            on the glorious pages of history and eternal stand of
            humanity against tyranny and oppression. He became
            the torch of the revolutionaries, the symbol of the free
            men, the banner of freedom, the hope of the poor and
            oppressed people and the emancipator of slavery.
              The battle of Karbala is a battle for civilization more
            than it is a historic battle. It embodied all human’s noble
