2.4.4.2.5 V-P Switch-Over
The “V-P Switch-Over” controls when the filling stage switches to the packing stage. As previously
discussed, there are two main stages for filling; the Velocity-controlled phase (Filling) and the Pressure-
controlled phase (Packing). This setting allows for a transition period between the two phases.
Typically, this will be set to 98% if no other process data is provided.
2.4.4.2.6 Melt and Mold Temperatures
Melt Temperature and Mold Temperature defaults are brought from the material file, as discussed in

Based on the material’s testing, a range (Maximum and Minimum) are included as well, which define the
recommended limits for the Melt and Mold Temperatures in simulation. If these values are passed, a
warning will pop up, recommending staying within the range.
