confirmation from Scripture would be my
final authority in the decisions that I would
make as a Christian and not a pastor nor any
other professing Christian. All Christians are
indwelt and empowered by God’s Holy
Spirit — not just pastors — and Jesus told
His disciples in John 16:13 that the Holy
Spirit would guide them into all truth.
Come out from among them
In the 53 years that I’ve been a Christian,
I don’t remember ever being taught any
scripture pertaining to separation from close
associations and close friendships with
unbelievers and/or with worldly people until
the last 10 years of my Christian life, and I
truly believe that I would have heeded that
kind of teaching if it had been pointed out to
