            INSTALLATION AND STARTUP

            Chapter 9 Optional “Add-On” Items

            Booster Pump

               Installation
                   8) Located on the wire from the pump is a supplied cord grip with accessories. Run this wire
to the closest electrical junction box and connect to the 120VAC circuit that will need to
run the pump. Once the electrical wires are connected properly you will be ready to run
                       the system.

                          Supplied Cord Grip

                   9) You can now turn on the main water and the main electrical. Run the system and make
sure that there are no water leaks and that everything is tightened down completely.

               Initial Startup Procedure
                   1) Close all 3 of the ball valves (feed, return, and bypass).

                   2) Remove priming plug which is located on the top of the pump.
                   3) Open the feed ball valve slowly until water begins to come out of the priming port.
Replace the priming plug once this is complete.
                   4) Open the return valve and the feed valve completely. Keep the bypass valve closed.

                   5) Turn on the electrical, 110VAC to the pump.
                   6) Run a wash cycle and verify that there is proper operation.

                   7) Speed up the wash passes within the wash cycle until enough water is used to rinse your
                       best triple foam package.

                   8) Verify that the outlet pressure does not exceed 100 psi. If it does, add a regulator to the
inlet side of the pump to maintain 100 psi out. The chemical pumps are designed to
pump into a 100 psi maximum line pressure.
                   9) If desired, a 110VAC relay can be added and the Booster Pump can be controlled by the
“city water output” to only turn on and off when necessary.
