Understanding Working Envelopes

Butterfly Clearance (Entrance)
This clearance is the distance from the manifold to the centerline of the staggered Photo-Eyes.
The Photo-Eyes are installed in a 6” staggered position from the driver side to the passenger
side to prevent seeing through truck bed gaps. The Photo-Eyes centerline is 3” from either eye.

This is typically 2” from the centerline of the Photo-Eyes to the point at which the vehicle bumper
first breaks the beam. See image below.
