Harold and I went to the show, Zasu Pitts and Will Rogers in Mr.
Skitch. In the evening I played checkers.
December 28. In the afternoon I went down to Gloria’s. Glo-
ria and I went to the Yuletide dance at the State Hospital. Gloria
stayed all night with me.

December 29. Gloria stayed down for dinner. After dinner
we went up to her house and then we went uptown. After supper
I stayed home.

December 30. Fooled around with Charlie in morning. After
dinner Mother and I went uptown. After supper we fooled around
at home.

December 31. Went to Church. After Church I played with
Charles. After dinner I went down to Gloria’s house. After supper
I listened to the radio.

1934

Age 14, will turn 15 on 12 July 1934

January 1. Went to Church. Went down to Ruyle’s at Car-
rollton to spend the day. In the afternoon we took a walk. Came
home, ate supper and read.

January 2. Fooled around in morning. Had my shoes fixed.
Played with Charles in morning and afternoon. After supper I went
to the housewarming at W. school.

January 3. Started to school next day. After school we had Glee
Club. After supper I stayed home and studied and played cards.

January 4. Went to school next day. After school went over and
played with Charles. After supper I got my lessons and went to bed.
