to Church. Pooch called me up. I went to show at State and saw
Half Baked Truth with Catherine and Alberta.
February 4. Joe [Pedrucci, early boyfriend whose father owned
the local movie theater] tore this page out trying to read it when he
was over July 17, 1935. George [Fritscher] tore this in two trying
to read it February 27, 1935. [Each page in this diary had room
for five entries for five consecutive years.] Went to Church. Saw
Gloria, she told me she had a date for the Prom. Catherine, Buddy,
Harold, and I rode Bud’s bike. We got some candy.

February 5. Went to school as usual. After school I had Glee
Club. I went over to Kathryn’s house after supper and went over
to Loretta’s.

February 6. Went to school again. Brought my dinner to school.
After school came home, went over to Charlie’s. After supper I got
my lessons.

February 7. Went to school again. After school I had Glee
Club. After supper I studied and went to bed.

February 8. Went to school. After school went over to Cath-
erine’s. After supper I stayed home and studied.
February 9. Got up. Got sick. Went back to bed. Stayed home
from school all day. Mrs. McGinnis came down in afternoon.

February 10. Sat. morning. Stayed in bed until about noon.
Still sick. Stayed home in afternoon. In nite Mom, Harold, and
I went uptown and I got some new things. We got some candy.

February 11. Went to Church. After dinner Catherine and I
went roller skating. Gloria came by for me to go to Jean’s. After
supper went down to Gloria’s.

February 12. Went to school again. After school I had Glee
Club. Walked home with Loretta. Studied at nite. Went to bed.
