Type of Activity: Maths activity.

2. Establish equivalences between prices
3. Identify the value and price of classroom objects
Methods and Techniques: Globalized work. Manipulation as the main method of working
through play.
Material Used : Cash register. Toy bills and coins. Clasroom elements. Posters with
prices.
Description of the Activity:
First, the material was presented to the students and asked what it was for and what
could be bought with each of the coins and bills. We make estimates. In addition, we put
different objects in the classroom and create posters to price them. We value which
items cost more and which items cost less, for example, a table or a pen. Afterwards, the
children learn to make equivalences, a two-euro coins is the same as two one-euro coins.
They play role-playing games of sales and purchases. In addition, they perform simple
addition and subtraction operations with the cash register.
