Title: Robot out of „trash“
Category: (for example math, physics etc.) Robotic /Recycling and crafting.
General Purpose:
1.Show children how we can make a „robot“ out of trash or at least something that looks
like a robot.
2.
Specific objectives:
1. How can we use trash to make something out of it.
2. How „should“ robot look like
3. Were can we find stuff to make our robot
4. Is it possible to make a robot out of stuff that is just around us.
5.
Methods and techniques:
Material: Stuff that would usually end up in the bin.
Place: art and craft room
Duration: 1 hour
Description of the activity: Children made some drawings of how they wanted there robot to
look like. Then they went through our recycling trash bin and found stuff they wanted to use.
They allso used stuff they found outside and from the art and craft room.
Assessment:
This went well. The kids needed to work together for this project so sometimes we had to use
democratic elections. Everybody learned alot from this and had fun.
