Title: Learn about recycling by using Beebot

General Purpose:
1. Learn more about recycling
2. Use the Beebot
Specific objectives:
1. Learn more about how we recycle things
2. Sort in categories
3. Get to know the Beebot better and use it in a creative way

Methods and techniques:
At first the teacher will tell the children about recycling, pictures and maybe a movie. Then the
children will use the Beebot to “drive” the garbage to the right place.

Material:
- Garbage
- Beebot – with Legotrailer
- Recycling signs

Place:
Inside the kindergarten

Duration: 30 minutes.

Description of the activity:
Start by telling the children about recycling, show them pictures, movies and different
recycling signs. Then put garbage out and different recycling signs. Let the children pick up
garabage, place it on the trailer behind the Beebot and code the Beebot to the right recycling
sign.

Assessment:
In this activity the children learned a lot, in their own mind they were «just playing». It`s a fun
way to learn things and it`s great to combine both math/coding and recycling. They got really
good at recycling after this.
