Triple-Berry Smoothie

                                                                           Vegetarian
                                                                           Gluten-Free
Blueberries and strawberries are considered superfoods since
both contain antioxidants that help ward of disease. A super-
food hidden in this smoothie that you won’t even taste is spinach.
Spinach is one of the world’s healthiest foods. It contains many
vitamins and minerals but also phytonutrients such as carotenoids
(beta-carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin) and flavonoids that pro-
             mote good health.

Ingredient Tip: Take advantage of grocery store sales or in-season
produce at the farmers’ market. Buy extra fresh blueberries, straw-
berries, and blackberries and store them in zip-top plastic freezer
bags for times when the produce is not in season.

1 cup frozen mixed berries 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
                 (blueberries, strawberries, 1 tablespoon honey
and blackberries) ½ cup freshly squeezed orange
2 ⁄ cup fresh baby spinach juice (about 2 oranges)
              ³
Place the berries, spinach, yogurt, and honey in a blender and
pour the orange juice over the top. Cover and blend to the desired
             smoothness. Serve immediately.
