EMPLOYMENT AT NATIONAL PAINTS
Joining Procedure
Once the offer letter has been signed, Employee will be provided with a checklist of documents that is required in
order to proceed with the visa processing. Once all the required documents have been submitted to the Human
Resource Department, it will be handed over to the Public Relations Department to start with the Visa Processing.
Initial Documents required from the candidate would include but is not limited to the following:
Passport Copy
Visa Copy
Attested Education Certificates
Employment Certificates
Photo with white background
Visa Processing
Visa processing would depend upon the current visa status of the employee as well as the government procedures that
is indicated in accordance with the labor law (e.g. For individuals who entered the country on a tourist visa, they might
be required to exit the country before issuing an employment visa).
Once Visa has been issued, you will be required to undergo medical examination to finalize employment as per UAE
labor law. Once an employee has been cleared for the medical examination, Emirates ID will then be issued.
Employment Contract
You will receive a legal employment contract which specifies and set out the terms and conditions of your employment
in details.
The official employment contract is drafted in English and governed in accordance with the Labor Law for limited
period. You will be required to sign the contract. Human Resource department will provide you with one copy after
obtaining attestation from authorities.
Probationary Period
After formally joining National Paints, an employee will be on probation for 6 months. During the probation period the
management can terminate employment without any notice. In such cases, the employer will not be liable to pay end of
service benefits or compensation to the employee.
Working hours and Overtime
National Paints’ normal office hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour taken for lunch or any other timing
approved by your manager at an agreed time from Saturday to Thursday.
There may be times when you are required to work outside these hours. Overtime payments are not paid unless
specified in an individual employment agreement. Your working hours may be varied from time to time by mutual
agreement.
During the Ramadan Period, which is observed in the U.A.E., working hours are reduced by two hours.
