An applicant's supervisor may be contacted to verify performance, skills, and attendance. Any staffing limitations or
other circumstances that might affect a prospective transfer may also be discussed.
Job posting and Employee Referrals
National Paints provides employees an opportunity to indicate their interest in open positions and advance within the
organization according to their skills and experience. In general, notices of all regular, full-time job openings are
posted internally for a certain period, although National Paints reserves its discretionary right to not post a particular
opening.
Job posting is a way to inform employees of openings and to identify qualified and interested applicants who might
not otherwise be known to the hiring department. Other recruiting sources may also be used to fill open positions in
the best interest of the organization.
At National paints the External Hiring Procedure Consists mainly of:
Employment through unsolicited Application / walk – in applications
There are applicants who keep on soliciting jobs from one place to another. These applicants are called as unsolicited
applicants. These types of applications are collected from the Reception on a daily basis and are thereafter screened
keeping in mind the active vacancies in which they can fit into. Every applicant is allowed to come and drop the
application irrespective of the Visa Status or Qualification / Experience.
Advertisement
Through advertising, we aim at targeting and reaching to a wide area of market and scattered applicants and get the
relevant response.
Two primary types of Medium are used for the same.
Advertisement through the Online Job Portals.
Advertisement through the Newspapers.
Employment Agencies
For Certain Technical Vacancies Consultation is done by the Empaneled Recruitment Firms/ Agencies.
Educational Institutions
There are certain professional Institutions which serve as an external source for recruiting fresh graduates from these
institutes. This kind of recruitment done through such educational institutions is called as Campus Recruitment. They
have special recruitment cells which help in providing jobs to fresh candidates.
Recommendations
There are certain people who have experience in a particular area. They enjoy goodwill and a stand in the company.
There are certain vacancies which are filled by recommendations of such people with an approval from the
management.

Labor Contractors
These are the specialist people who supply manpower .They meet our requirements for Blue Collared workers such
as Labors or Drivers. Through these contractors, workers are appointed on a contract basis, i.e. for a particular time
period.
Internal Referrals / Referral Candidates
National Paints also encourages employees to identify friends or acquaintances that are interested in employment
opportunities and refer qualified outside applicants for posted jobs. Employees should obtain permission from the
individual before making a referral, share their knowledge of the organization, and not make commitments or oral
promises of employment.
