These rules are established to help you stay safe and injury free. Violation of the above rules, or conduct that does
not meet minimum accepted work standards, will result in discipline, up to and including termination.

                SECURITY
Maintaining the security of the property is every employee’s responsibility. Develop habits that ensure security as a
                matter of course.

                For example:
                  • Always keep cash properly secured.
                  • Ensure property is locked according to property standards.
                  • Know the location of all alarms and fire extinguishers, and familiarize yourself with the proper procedure for
using them, should the need arise.
                  • Report security measures that are in disrepair to the maintenance department.
                SUSPICIOUS PERSONS/CRIMINAL ACTS

All acts of criminal nature, including the following, should be reported to a manager immediately:
                  • Disorderly conduct
                  • Public intoxication
                  • Theft
                  • Prostitution

                EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN

                Emergency Escape Procedures and Routes
See the all-staff bulletin board for your property’s emergency evacuation route and designated meeting areas.

In the event that evacuation is necessary (i.e. fire or bomb threat), a facility-wide evacuation is mandatory. Guest
evacuation comes first. Company staff must physically evacuate all guest areas, inform guests to leave personal
belongings behind, close all doors, and have guests meet in the designated exterior refuge area (parking lot). The
General Manager or Manager on Duty will delegate one staff member per wing/floor/area to evacuate guests. All
other employees can evacuate at that time. Additionally, company employees are responsible for assisting any
disabled or physically impaired employees and guests. The direct supervisor of any disabled or physically impaired
employee is responsible for assisting their evacuation. The General Manager or Manager on Duty is responsible for
evacuating or delegating the evacuation of any disabled or physically impaired guest.
If your property is a hotel, registration slips of physically impaired guests should be clearly marked. The Manager on
Duty must take all in-house guest registration slips with them upon evacuation to the designated meeting area where
they are responsible for staff and guest attendance.

Reporting Emergencies (Emergency Numbers posted by all phones)
In the event of an emergency, call your immediate supervisor. You will need to give the following information:
                  • Your name
                  • What the emergency is
                  • Where the emergency is located

You will need to know where the nearest fire extinguisher, emergency exit, biohazard spill kit, power outage kit, and
                first aid kit are located.
