Chapter 7 THE REALITIES
                                    Obesity And “EXCESS” SUGAR

Table Sugar (also known as granulated or refined or processed sugar) is not required IN ANY FORM (including
sweeteners) for a healthy diet. The NATURAL sugar in Natural Foods is all we need. Which is all our ancestors
had or needed . . . EXCEPT honey which includes tons of “processed sugar” as processed by the bees.
But, there is a difference between NATURAL sugar (sucrose) in plants (fructose + glucose + water = Natural
sucrose) and PROCESSED sugar: Unnatural sugar (fructose + glucose without the water). Natural sugars in
fruits and vegetables come with many nutrients that are good for you. Unnatural sugar (table sugar) has no
added benefit and is harmful in excess. NATURAL Sugar in Natural Foods has all the energy you will ever need.

Cancer Treatment Center of America says: “How the body metabolizes the (Natural) sugar in fruit or
milk differs from how it metabolizes the Unnatural “refined” sugar added to processed foods. The body breaks
down unnatural “refined” sugar rapidly, causing insulin and blood sugar levels to skyrocket. Because refined
sugar is digested quickly, you don’t feel full after you’re done eating, no matter how many calories you
consumed. The fiber in fruit slows down metabolism, as fruit in the gut expands to make you feel full.”

“But there’s a caveat. Once the sugar passes through the stomach and reaches the small intestine, it doesn’t
matter if it came from an apple or a soft drink.”

Now with that in mind: Table Sugar in breads, jams, canned foods and even soft drinks (to name a few) ARE
NOT “THAT” HARMFUL – IF EATEN WITH YOUR ONE MEAL-A-DAY AT BEDTIME. But skip the processed sugary
foods as much as possible like all our ancestors did until 165 years ago.

There’s a very good chance you and your Doctor agree – SO FAR.

BUT DON’T HAVE SUGAR IN ANYTHING DURING THE DAY – HERE’S WHY. You’re a human – the same as I am.

Very few of us have ABSOLUTE willpower. I sure don’t. You probably don’t either. THAT LEADS TO CHEATING.

Any little bite of ANY sweet sugary food (or sweeteners) and you’ll want more – Sure, the whole darn plate.

Dr. Selby knew this. Eating Nature’s Healthy Way
Reduces Cheating. That’s why I’m still here at 80.

And don’t kid yourself – Corn Syrup is Processed Sugar
from corn instead of sugar cane. Honey and Maple Syrup
        are also concentrated sugar.

Tell Anyone Who Offers You ANYTHING To Eat During The Day:

I can’t because I’m Allergic To Processed Sugar.

Be ready for some “way-out” replies. Not only can you have fun with this – but actually help others too.
Beware of ANYONE who insists you eat anything you refused – Their Motives Are Deceitful – Say NO Firmly.
